Good day to you. Today is the last Sunday in the month of June, the year is winding up really quickly.
On today’s nuggets I’d be talking about Decisions.

A decision is a choice that you make about something after thinking about it.

Decisions are an integral part of our lives, we are always taking decisions, what to wear, what to eat, where to live, who to spend time with, when to travel, when to fight back, when to take or avoid risks, when to accept or refuse an offer etc. Decisions could be good or bad and they come with consequences.

Who we are today is a result of the decisions we made yesterday and who we would be tomorrow is dependent on the decisions we take today.
The schools where we study, the city we live in, the house we live in, the church we attend, the friends we keep, our place of work etc are products of our choices and decisions.

The world system might try to dictate the things we do and the decisions we make but our refusal to be controlled by the theories of the world, and rather be controlled by the principles of the word of God will guide us to God’s perfect will for us. This is because though we are in the world, we are not of the world and we should never forget that when taking decisions.
Remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the Bible, when the system of the world in their time under King Nebuchadnezzar issued a decree that everyone should worship the golden image, these guys took a firm decision to stand their ground against all odds, against the majority, and you know the rest of the story. (Daniel 3).

The majority can also be wrong, take decisions based on God’s word and not on what the majority is doing.

Romans 12 :2 NIVDo not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

The decisions we take should always be aligned with our Christ like nature.

It is very important for us as Christians to always involve God and hear his voice when taking major decisions. Decisions like who to marry, where to work, where to study, where to live, how to react to conflicts, when to relocate are very important and impact heavily on our lives, they are not to be taken lightly. There are times when we may be faced with options that make decision taking rather difficult, but then the Holy Spirit is our ever present help in such times.

“Sometimes what seems right is really a road to death.”
Proverbs 16:25 CEV

When we are led by the spirit of God, he guides our path and our decisions will be in God’s perfect will for our lives.

May your week be blessed ❤️
