Joel 3:16 NIV
“ The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel”
The Lord is the strength of his people, He is ever on our side “…If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31), He promised to be with us till the end of time “…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age”(Matthew 28:20) and his words never fall to the ground. No matter the situation, we are conscious that we are protected; the Lord is our refuge and strong tower.
Ignorance of the word and misinformation could make us quick to blame God for tragedies in our lives. Questions like “if there is God, why did he let this happen to me?” float in our minds. But then, we don’t accuse God, that’s a fatal error. That situation you think is very bad might have turned out worse, so count your blessings give no room for worry.
Some have said they don’t believe in God. Well, that doesn’t change anything at all; he’s still God anyhow and he’s forever good. (2 Timothy 2:13) He is our God, he can’t deny himself and His love for us is great.
“So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (Hebrews 13:6)
No matter the situation, may we always have it at the back of our minds that we have a God that is independent of circumstances, and he is our strength.
